Shore Drive Cottage, Front

Before: The beginning.
After: A master piece.
A beautiful lattice garden gate and walkway bridge the front & rear cottages.
Facing west, overlooking Narragansett Bay offers
front-porch comfort.
Hidden gardens and dining spaces, tucked alongside the front cottage.
Airy living spaces. There are actually five sets of French doors in the two houses combined.
Vintage, yet modern. Granite & tin-tile backsplash (a Belle Cottage signature), unique window trim from old mirrors & vintage sideboard houses sink.
Functional and space-saving combination laundry & half-bath.
Another Belle Cottage signature touch, floral lined stair case steps.
Restored and refinished French doors, created from vintage stained glass windows, lead into the master suite.
2nd floor, wrap-around deck with wisteria gingerbread.
It’s all about the relaxing view.
Fabulous outdoor vicci shower, bluestone & aged-brick patio, Japanese koi pond and working sink for gardening clean-up.
Nantucket sheds have heat and chandeliers creating a fully-functional year-around workspace.

Overlooking the Narragansett Bay are actually two separate beach cottages on one unique Rhode Island property.
These cottages were actually lost - washed out to sea in the 1938 hurricane, rescued and rebuilt.
Completely renovated in 2004, a wrap-around top deck was added to the front property and an English-inspired garden to the rear.
